There is a greeting card that proclaims: Retirement is when you wake up with nothing to do and go to bed not having done it.
That was my Thursday. My to-do list of trivial "nothings" is no-where near completion, but fortunately, there is always tomorrow.
However did I manage get things done when I was working?
... and the day after, if necessary. I'm sure you are too busy doing the non-trivial things.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, if you are longing to post a comment but have had no success yet, I have learned something that most retirees would already have tucked under their belts: you have to be really patient and wait for the skills test of copying in the wobbly letters. It doesn't always pop up first go, or immediately, but it will, eventually arrive.
ReplyDeleteAnd it helps to do a preview. In fact, that may be the essential thing. I'm not sure, but I wouldn't dare post a comment without previewing it first now. I like to stick to the tried and true which means I may be well overdue for retirement.
